We grew up in Suburbia, went to college and followed our dreams into the city. The vibrancy, energy and excitement that drew us in as twenty somethings is still there, but now our lives are changing. We’ve gotten married, started our families and realized we needed more than the four walls of our apartment. We began by calling realtors we found online, but every realtor told us that their town was the best… We knew that couldn’t be true. We knew we needed some honest and unbiased advice.
Our friends and family, casual acquaintances, bartenders and baristas were grilled as we searched for people’s unbiased opinions about where they lived and what life was like there. Eventually, their message became clear: “find more than your home, find your hometown”. Find a place to put down roots, a place you see yourself living forever. Start small if you have to but as you grow, you’ll keep the same schools, friends and activities.
Once we had chosen the town, our family referred us to a trusted and experienced real estate professional in the burb that we loved and today we are happy homeowners. We wanted to help other families beginning their home search by providing free and unbiased opinions about hometowns they are likely to love.
